As the largest dairy operation in Cyprus, with a herd of over 2,000 milking cows, animal welfare is at the very heart of everything we do. We are, first and foremost, dairy farmers – and that means our cows always come first.
At our Group, we believe that high-quality milk starts with healthy, well-cared-for animals. That’s why we have made it our mission to provide our cows with the best possible living conditions, nutrition, veterinary care, and comfort throughout every stage of their lives. Our farms are designed to ensure a calm, clean, and stress-free environment, with regular health monitoring and access to modern milking facilities that put the well-being of the animals at the forefront.
We adhere strictly to all European Union animal welfare standards, and in many cases, we go beyond the legal requirements – because for us, meeting the standard is not enough. We aim to set the standard.
Our commitment to animal welfare is not only an ethical responsibility – it is also a key driver of the quality we deliver. Cows that are treated with care and respect are healthier, live longer, and produce superior milk. This is a principle we live by: happy cows make happy farmers.

At Pantziarou Bros Dairies, we are fully aware of the environmental challenges associated with dairy production and, in particular, the production of Halloumi cheese — one of Cyprus’s most cherished exports. As a leading dairy producer, we recognize our responsibility to operate in a way that minimizes our impact on the planet.
With this in mind, we are actively investing in innovative, sustainable practices aimed at reducing our carbon footprint across every stage of our production process — from farm to final product. This includes optimizing energy use, reducing waste, improving water efficiency, and exploring renewable energy solutions.
Our vision is clear: to become a carbon neutral operation by 2030.
Achieving this ambitious target will require determination, continuous improvement, and strategic partnerships. But we are committed to making it a reality — not only for the future of our business, but for the future of our island, our community, and the generations to come.

Our Ecologicall Footprint
The next and highly significant stage of our journey toward reducing our ecological footprint is the creation of a large-scale Photovoltaic Park. This ambitious project is designed with one clear goal: to achieve complete energy autonomy for all our units, ensuring that our operations are powered exclusively by clean, renewable energy.
The planning and design of the park began just before the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. Unfortunately, like many other projects worldwide, its progress was delayed due to the numerous challenges and disruptions brought on by this global crisis. Under normal circumstances, the park would already be fully operational by now, delivering sustainable power and further reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.
Despite these setbacks, our determination has never wavered. The Photovoltaic Park represents not only an important step toward energy independence, but also a powerful symbol of our dedication to green growth, innovation, and long-term sustainability. By investing in renewable energy, we are not only reducing our carbon emissions and operating costs but also contributing to a cleaner planet and setting a strong example for future generations.
